Meet Lenka, 10 days new and sweet as can be. She did an amazing job on her newborn photography session. Loved her!
I think that one of the most requested poses is the “froggy pose” and it is the most challenging one, since this is not a natural pose for the baby. Still, baby is always safe and comfortable and the final image is a composite of 2 shots, one holding baby’s head and another one holding baby’s chin (as you can see at the end of this post). Baby is NEVER left into this pose on his/her own. It’s not possible to achieve the froggy with every baby, and I never promise any particular pose to the parents. All babies are different and we let him/her lead the session. In four years working with newborns, safety is always my number one priority and I’m very gentle moving hands, feet, little fingers and posing the baby. A perfect image for me is when baby looks happy and comfortable!
