If you ever wonder what a newborn photography session looks like, I created this short time-lapse behind-the-scenes video to give you an idea. I know most clients have no idea how the newborn photography session works when they see those cute sleepy posed images on my website. I always set a plan before the baby arrives at my photography studio in Calgary, and believe me, I have plan A, plan B and even a plan C in case the baby is wide awake or fussy during the newborn photography session. We let the baby lead the session and we respect all baby’s needs.
Every time I can, I do short videos of the behind-the-scenes and all my clients love it! I just wish I did it more often but to be honest, I always forget about it until the session ends.. lol!

I love to include custom setups with special meaning for my clients. Baby Lucas’ grandfather is a pilot and this cute airplane setup was definitely a must-have for his newborn session. To make this shot even more perfect, I captured a cute smile from this sweet baby boy.
I love his hair and all his little features, he is such a cute baby boy!
We also created this custom setup using dad’s Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu outfit.
I love colour and bright images but there is something special on the black&white images too.
