Calgary AB Newborn Photographer | Zachary

Dec 2, 2016 | Newborn Photography Blog

“Is it too late to book my baby’s newborn photo session?” Sometimes babies’ age makes a huge difference in what poses they like to be and how sleepy they are. Usually, younger newborns are easier to photograph and they allow the photographer to get those cute curly sleepy poses, however, all babies are different and it’s hard to say how easy or difficult will be the session based only on the baby’s age. I highly recommend booking the newborn photo session between 5-10 days after birth but I’m always happy to photograph older newborns. I’ll be honest, I’ve been working with a lot of “old” newborns and I’m very surprised how some of them are still so curly and sleepy, and I’ll tell you my little secret, I send a “preparation guide” to moms a few days before the session with some tips to ensure a successful newborn session and I can tell you, it works!

Zachary was over 3 weeks when I met him and he’s such a sweet baby! Love working with him and his family!
